That I May Know Him
Philippians 3:10
And when He brings out His own sheep, He goes before them; and the sheep follow Him, for they know His voice. John 10:4
But if, from there, you seek the LORD your God, you will find him, if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deut. 4:29
As I was praying about this first blog the Holy Spirit whispered the word impervious to me. He was letting me know that as I write this blog, to pray for those of you that will read these words, that the enemy will not cause you to be impervious to what He is saying to you today. Our God, the Ancient of Days, is a right now God. Right now He knows where you are. Right now He knows what you are going through and Right now He cares about you!
Isaiah 55:2b says, ...let your soul delight itself in fatness. 3. Incline your ear and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live. The word delight in the original Hebrew text is the Hebrew word anag 6026 a primitive root meaning; to be soft or pliable. The word fat in the original text is deshen H1880 meaning specifically the (fatty) ashes of sacrifices. Now, let's put it all together,
let your soul be soft and pliable in the (fatty) ashes of sacrifice. Incline your ear and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live.
You may be going through a very hard place right now. God's Word tells us to stay soft and pliable in the times of sacrifice, the times when we have to be laid on the altar of sacrifice, to die to our will, our attitude, our opinion, our agenda, our way. Be still, stay soft and listen. He will speak to you.
